Why track AliExpress prices
AliExpress prices move more than most stores. Thousands of sellers set their own prices, sales come round every few weeks, and almost every listing shows a struck-out price that makes the current one look like a bargain. On top of that, the price you see depends on which variant you pick and which country you ship to.
A price tracker cuts through that. It checks one specific listing on a schedule, keeps a history of what it actually cost, and notifies you when it drops or reaches your target. You stop wondering whether "70% off" is real.
Set up an AliExpress price drop alert
- Open the product in the AliExpress app or in Chrome, and pick your variant. Colour, size, capacity, plug type and "bundle" options usually change the price. More on that below.
- Tap Share, then Droplert. If you'd rather, copy the item link and paste it into Droplert.
- Tap the price. Droplert loads the page, remembers where the price is, and shows what it found. If it matches the variant you want, tap Track it.
- Choose a schedule and a target. AliExpress items are rarely urgent, so every 12 hours or once a day is often enough. Switch to hourly around a big sale.
Variants: why the price changes when you tap a colour
An AliExpress listing is usually many products under one title. Each combination of options, called a SKU, has its own price and stock. The price in search results and at the top of a fresh listing is often the cheapest SKU, which may be a version you don't want, such as the smallest size, a single unit instead of a pack, or "no battery".
- Select every option before you share. Colour alone isn't enough if there is also a size or plug selector.
- Check the confirmed price. When Droplert shows the price it found, make sure it is the price for your SKU, not the cheapest one.
- Track two SKUs if you're undecided. If you'd take either the 64 GB or the 128 GB version, add both. They don't always drop at the same time.
Ship-to country, currency and tax
AliExpress shows prices for the country you ship to, in that country's currency. Change the ship-to country and the price, the shipping options and sometimes the variants all change with it. A product that shows one price in Pakistan can show a different one in India or the UK, and not just because of the exchange rate.
Droplert detects the currency from the page, so your AliExpress items are tracked in whatever currency the page shows. Keep your ship-to country the same while you track, or the history will compare two different prices.
Two other things are often shown separately from the price:
- Tax. In some countries the page notes that tax is excluded and added at checkout.
- Shipping. Lines like "Free shipping over Rs.3,151" mean shipping depends on your total basket. A tracker follows the item price, so check shipping when the alert arrives.
Coins, coupons, Choice and "upcoming price"
AliExpress shows a lot of discounts around the price. Most of them are applied at checkout, not on the page, so they are not in the price Droplert tracks.
Coins
A line such as "Extra 2% off with coins" means you can spend AliExpress coins on that item at checkout. How much you can use is capped, and coins expire.
Coupons
Store and platform coupons such as "Rs.630 off on Rs.5,700" need a minimum order. They are worth stacking when you buy, but they don't change the item's price.
Choice
Items labelled Choice come with AliExpress's own delivery and returns terms, and their shipping often depends on a basket total. The item price is still what you track.
"Upcoming price"
Before a sale, some listings show today's price next to an "Upcoming price" with a start date. Tap today's price, not the upcoming one. When the sale starts and the price changes, Droplert will see it on the next check.
11.11 and the Anniversary Sale
The two biggest AliExpress events are 11.11 in November and the Anniversary Sale in late March. There are smaller sales through the year too, and some sellers change their prices in the days before each one.
That makes your own price history the most useful thing to have. Add products two or three weeks before a sale, set the schedule to hourly for the sale days, and compare the sale price with the lowest price on the chart. If they are the same, the "discount" is only a discount against the struck-out price.
Droplert vs AliPrice
AliPrice is a browser extension that shows AliExpress price history on the product page and can alert you to price changes. If you shop AliExpress from a desktop browser, it is worth a look.

Yes. The free plan covers 5 products with hourly checks and 30 days of history. An optional upgrade adds unlimited products, checks as often as every 15 minutes, and a year of history.
Does Droplert show past AliExpress price history?
It shows the history from the day you start tracking, with the highest and lowest price marked. It doesn't fill in prices from before that.
What if a check fails?
Droplert flags the product and retries on the next run. If it keeps failing, tap the price again so Droplert re-learns it, or email the link to support@droplert.app.
Do I need an AliExpress or Droplert account?
No. Droplert doesn't sign in anywhere and doesn't need an account. Your data stays on your phone.
Does it work on iPhone?
